SRVTHS Grad Severely Injured in Gas Station Incident

Peter Dovell, class of '75, was seriously injured in a December 2002 incident at a Brockton gas station. A man, apparantly upset over a fight with his girlfriend, drove his car into the station where Pete was pumping gas.

Pete was burned over his entire body except his head. One of his legs was amputated.

He is the father of two teenage daughters, and both are Southeastern students. He is a member of the 379th Engineering Co. of the U.S. National Guard, The Colonial Runners Club and a motorcycle club.

As of April 15, 2003, he was released from the hospital and doing well.

Two funds have been set up for his family:
Friends of Peter Dovell, East Bridgewater Savings Bank, P.O. Box 445, East Bridgewater, MA 02333
Peter Dovell Benefit Fund, c/o John Goldrosen, 891 Washington St., Whitman, MA 02382
