SRVTHS Grad Severely Burned in
The Station Nightclub Fire
Joseph Kinan, class of '87/Masonry, was
one of the victims of the terrible fire at The Station nightclub
in West Warwick, RI. The fire claimed 100 lives and injured nearly
200 others, many critically.
Joe works for Richard Lewis Formalwear
of Canton. He was burned very badly and is still in intensive
care at Mass. General Hospital; he needs major reconstructive
surgery and long term recovery help.
Joe gave his family a big surprise Mother's
Day weekend - he was out of bed and sitting up in a chair! Mass.
General upgraded his condition from critical to serious on Monday,
May 12. His condition was upgraded again on Monday May 19 to
fair. He remains hospitalized as of early July.

There are photos and links, and
it will tell you ways to make donations. DO send him a note of
encouragement!
Or you could click here for Joe's guestbook!
There are many websites for Rhode Island
media that have stories about the fire. I have found that these
are the best organized.
